NUT10 Social Media Intern
Internship Overview
This page is exclusively dedicated to showcasing my endeavors as a Social Media Intern for Nut 10 at UC Davis. Nut 10 denotes a lower division undergraduate nutrition course offered at the university, enjoying widespread popularity. Given its prominence, the course maintains dedicated social platforms with the explicit mission of disseminating nutrition education to students and its broader audience. My decision to pursue an internship with Nut 10 stems from a desire to combine my interests in social media/content creation and nutrition. The overarching goal of this internship has been to develop and disseminate engaging content that simultaneously educates others on the significance of nutrition. Throughout this experience, I collaborated with a cohort of fellow interns, operating under the supervision of the Nut 10 professor and a Nutrition Graduate Student Co-Supervisor.

In the contemporary era, wherein the prevalence of "gym culture" is conspicuous, discussions pertaining to "anabolic protein shakes" frequently surface. In light of this, our team deemed it pertinent to undertake a deliberation on the question of whether these shakes can be deemed as genuinely "healthy" or if their purported benefits are merely a product of the hype perpetuated by the prevailing "gym culture."
Trivia Tuesday

Initially, a question is posed, followed by the subsequent posting of the accurate response along with a comprehensive explanation. Scroll through the slideshow below for examples.
Recipe Tutorials: Foodie Friday
To promote cultural inclusiveness and demonstrate healthy alternatives, we created a series of food tutorials. These tutorials, disseminated every Friday, showcase diverse ethnic recipes and alternative preparations. The primary objective of this initiative is to foster inclusivity and dispel the misconception that ethnic cuisines are inherently incompatible with a "healthy" dietary regimen. As part of this effort, I have personally contributed a tutorial featuring a "Stuffed Sweet Potato Recipe" and another featuring a "Guacamole Recipe."
